Why it exists

Better simulation should not depend on expensive infrastructure.

The quality of simulation should be defined by learning — not by the cost of the equipment.

MockCode was created to help educators structure CPR simulation, understand what happened, and support meaningful debriefing using tools they already have.

It does not replace simulation infrastructure. It makes structured simulation practical wherever training happens.

Simulation is not the objective.Better resuscitation is.

How it works

One workflow, setup to improvement.

01 · SETUP

Setup

Adult or pediatric, tracking mode, event log, team name — six fields, under a minute.

MockCode setup screen — protocol, tracking mode, event log
02 · RUN

Run

Start CPR the moment compressions begin — every metric depends on that one tap.

MockCode live session — CCF, cycle and pause timing
03 · CAPTURE

Capture

Leader, coach, switch, rhythm, pulse, shock, medications, reversible causes — one tap each.

MockCode post-arrest checklist after ROSC
04 · MEASURE

Measure

CCF, rate, pause time and cycle timing calculated live — not reconstructed afterwards.

MockCode after-action report — metrics against benchmarks
05 · DEBRIEF

Debrief

A guideline-aligned scorecard, shock analysis and the full event timeline.

MockCode debrief scorecard — Critical, Caution, Met
06 · IMPROVE

Improve

Observed gaps become one to three actions, each with an owner and a re-test plan.

What the facilitator gains

More attention on the team. Better information for the debrief.

01

Structured observation

No scattered notes.

02

Clear timeline

Events in sequence, timestamped.

03

Performance review

Metrics in the discussion.

04

Actionable debrief

Specific improvement points.
